John, the Disciple whom Jesus Loved

Updated: May 19, 2023

The Apostle John is belligerently awesome. Deeply spiritual Mystic who speaks from cloud nine. The disciple whom Jesus Loved, he knows the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh to the Father, except through Jesus. John speaks from the perspective of the one whom Jesus Loves - which is every one of us, especially those who accept God's call to love him with faith, and especially those who do not, as well. What does God ask from us? According to John? Well, 1 John 3:23 states, "And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us." So, we are to believe in Jesus Christ and to love our neighbor? What does this mean? Elsewhere, John records Jesus in his High Priestly Prayer, right before, or during his crucifixion and preparation, "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." (John 17:3) This is what life is, to know God, and Jesus Christ, whom he sent. What does this mean to you? And what did John the Apostle indicate by this? This is deep. Let us praise God. Let the ting of Truth ring in our lives and hearts. Praise be to God.
